This Privacy Policy explains how Afterschool Community collects, uses, discloses, protects, and retains personal information when families, youth, providers, and sponsors use our platform, centralized application, enrollment tools, communication systems, and opportunity listings.

Key Privacy Commitments

• We do not sell or rent family contact information to third-party opportunity sponsors.
• We do not use one-time blanket consent to share family contact information with all sponsors.
• We may send curated or sponsored opportunities through our own systems without giving the sponsor your contact information.
• We share application data with the programs or providers a family chooses or requests.
• We require individualized consent before sharing contact information for a specific opportunity or referral.
• For youth under 13, parent/guardian consent is required before collecting, using, or disclosing personal information except where a limited legal exception applies.

How We Use Information

We use personal information to operate accounts, process applications and route them to selected programs, manage enrollment and required program communications, provide support, send required service communications and optional preference-managed opportunity messages, display curated opportunities, comply with law, and protect users.

Communications

Required account, application, selected-program, safety, and legal communications are necessary to use the Platform. Optional opportunity messages about scholarships, travel, internships, events, and enrichment are preference-managed and can be stopped at any time without affecting required service communications.

Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the Platform, process applications, manage selected-program participation, maintain consent records, support safety, comply with law and funding/reporting obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain security.

Your Rights

Parents and guardians may review, correct, or request deletion of personal information (subject to legal and safety limits), withdraw consent for optional communications or specific sharing, and manage communication categories and channels where available.
